RE: RMIT Oxford Scholar – Electrical Package

RMIT are proud to announce the successful completion of the Oxford Scholar Hotel, located in the heart of our city campus 427 Swanson Street, Melbourne. Design & Build Electrical were awarded the electrical package through the head contractor for the project, Schiavello Construction.

Thoughout this project, Patrick offered his industry expertise to deliver a high-quality aesthetic electrical fit out working closely with the contractor and design team. With the challenges associated with working in a 19th century building, Design & Build Electrical managed the challenges required due to latent conditions and other factors, offering solutions in the best interest of the project, whilst ensuring quality and time were not jeopardised.

The customised luminaires were a major factor in design and enhance the space. Seeing the space before and after energisation, the lighting makes significant positive impact to the overall aesthetic of the project.

We are grateful to have had Design & Build Electrical working on this project and would not hesitate to recommend them for future projects

RE: Design & Build Electrical – RMIT Oxford Scholar

Design & Build Electrical were the awarded electrical contractor for the RMIT – Oxford Scholar project, at 427 Swanston Street, Melbourne 3000.

During the 6months of construction, Design & Build Electrical offered and support beyond their contractual obligations, exceeding program requirements whilst delivering a high-quality installation and design that we, as the builder, are proud to hand over to the client.

With consideration to the amount of customisation in the electrical package, the Design & Build Electricals’ management team co-ordinated and ensured a smooth delivery with-out interruption to our schedule or the projects overall programe.

Throughout the project Design & Build Electrical were fronted with various substantial variations, all of which were critical in terms of timeframe; Patrick delivered swift and innovative solutions that assisted both the client and us in achieving project completion.

RE: Chelsea Heights Primary School - Refurbishment

A four and a half million dollar rebuild took place at Chelsea Heights Primary School throughout 2021. This involved a complete internal restructuring of the main building comprising; the administration area, leadership offices, staff room, meeting rooms and ten classrooms with teacher office spaces. Patrick and the team from D&B Electrical worked closely with the school to complete all of the electrical works throughout the two stages of the refurbishment.

Working in a school of 450 students and 50 staff whilst respecting the impact works can have on the day to day running of school is complex. The supportive and respectful way the D & B Team completed their scheduled works was greatly appreciated by the school. Added to this was the navigation of the 2021 lockdowns and subsequent restriction on site due to COVID. Chelsea Heights Primary would highly recommend D & B Electrical.

RE: 5 Bowen Crescent - Onsite Expertise

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that after 4 weeks on site your team has been exceptional, not only in the way they conduct themselves but the way they go about working in a safe manner.

Not once have l had to ask them to wear the correct PPE or to clean up after themselves which is a credit to D&B and especially Jake who has been a key contributor to this.

Jake is clearly an asset to D&B and should be commended for all his hard work in helping to get where the site is today.

I look forward to working as a tight-knit team with D&B throughout the project.
